Musher For a Day

Do you dream of handling your own team of sleddogs? Are you curious about the cooperation with the dogs and wish to experience a deeper connection with them? Then this is the dogsledding experience for you!

We start the day with a tour at the kennel where you will meet the dogs and learn more about how they live and the musher lifestyle.  In the Musher For a Day adventure a lot of the emphasis is put on sharing our knowledge regarding dog care and safety routines when it comes to dogsledding. During the first part of the experience you will get to learn how we work with our dogs, how the musher cooperates with his/her dogteam and how to drive a sled.

Part two is all about practising what you've been taught, as we get ready to head out for our sledding trip. You will get your own team of dogs, which you will take care of during the rest of the day. You will normally be two people sharing the sled/dogteam - one as the musher and the other one as passenger. After approx half the tour you will have the option to switch places.

When back at the kennel we will take care of the dogs, you will have time to socialize with them and we will finish the day around the campfire with hot beverages. Throughout the day you will also be provided with a hot meal and Swedish Fika.

NB: The lenght and route of the tour depends on weather conditions and our agreement. Same goes for the location where we eat lunch.
